Commtouch inks China deal

"Commtouch Software Ltd said yesterday it has signed a deal with China's number one anti-virus software company, Rising Technology Co Ltd, to integrate its anti-spam technology into Rising's products. "It identifies spam outbreaks according to their massive distribution patterns," said Ronni Zehavi, vice president of business development at Commtouch. "This means that content and language are irrelevant -- and the engine works as well in Chinese as in any other language." Network-based spam filtering is not Commtouch's unique domain, however.
